May 20, 2025 – Week 20
Catalyst
Compassion outweighs pain and imagination.
Insight
To feel compassion is to carry a weight far beyond your own. The act of caring for others brings you close to their struggles, fears, and pain. Empathy engages your imagination to fill in the silent echoes of what someone else is experiencing. While this can feel emotionally heavy, compassion is not a burden to avoid—it is a responsibility to embrace.
What makes compassion extraordinary is that it transforms the pain it touches. To step into someone else’s shoes, even briefly, heightens your capacity for understanding. It may feel heavy at times, but this is how bonds are formed and how healing takes root, for both you and the person who is seen, heard, and supported.
Reflection
When was the last time you extended compassion even though it was difficult or emotionally taxing? Why was it worth the effort?
